. . . Hoppin Good Easter Free Treat Topper Download . . .

I love doing treat bag toppers for my son's class!  They are cute and super duper simple and always make a big impression.  Plus it's fun to get to share them with all of my Blog Readers!  I love seeing your photos when you use them for your kids so please share if you use either of these downloads. 

This time I decided to do two styles--one for teachers, principals and staff and then one for the students in his class.  I did the chocolate bunnies with a message of "Wishing you a "Hoppin" Good Easter" and then the second one is set up for the kids and it holds two mini Reese's Cup Eggs and the message says "Wishing you an EGGcellent Easter".  There are lots of different styles of Easter "Egg" Candy in the stores so if you have peanut allergies to work around I know there are other options for you.  We are not in that situation so I went with the PB Eggs. 

These are perfect for your friends, family, classmates, neighbors...the list could go on and on.  Who wouldn't love getting a cute Easter Treat?

. . . Orange Cream Cupcakes . . .

When I ran across these super simple cupcakes over at C.W. Frosting I knew they were going to be a must try recipe.  I love finding simple and quick recipes that my son and I can work on together.  Just a couple ingredients and you are set with this super duper simple cupcake recipe.

We always have Diet Sunkist in our house so knowing how much he likes that I figured he would be all over helping with these simple cupcakes and he was.  I love that he likes being in the kitchen and hope that he picks up some baking and cooking skills that he carries with him for a long time to come.  Every woman would like to have a man that can cook for her--I know I love it when my husband helps cook or even takes over in the kitchen.  It is a nice break.

So simple but so yummy!

You will need:

1 box of White Cake Mix

12 oz. Diet Sunkist

Cool Whip for Frosting

Zest and Juice of 1 orange (Optional)

powdered sugar (optional)

• Grab your ingredients

• Mix the cake mix and Sunkist together

• Add the zest and juice of an orange if you would like.  I cut the orange in half and used half the juice and zest for the cupcakes and the other half for the frosting

• Bake your cupcakes in a lined cupcake tray for 25 minutes 

at 325 degrees

• I made my frosting with 1 container of Cool Whip, a few spoonfuls of Powdered Sugar, the juice and zest of half an orange and that was it.  Mix well until it thickens up a little (you can add more powdered sugar if you want it thicker) and then frost the cupcakes.  Be sure the cupcakes are cooled completely because the Cool Whip frosting will melt right off of them.

. . . Rainbow Pancakes . . .

My son has really gotten into the spirit of me having a blog.  He is actually the one that came up with "Cookie Time Tuesday" (probably so he was guaranteed to have cookies in the house at all times).  He is always trying to come up with ideas of things I should blog about.  He also feels really special when his photo makes it into a post. 

He recently came home from school with the idea of making rainbow pancakes and ever since he's been obsessed about me blogging it.  We finally got around to doing it over this past weekend.  It turned out to be a lot of fun and I'm sure many of the kiddos out there would love to make these!

 Once you get the mix all combined just divide it up into separate bowls and add your food coloring.  Combine well so the colors blend in completely.  Make pancakes as you normally would.  Don't get them too overdone because they look more brown than colorful.

When making the last batch he decided it was necessary to add sprinkles to them.  He thought that was great fun.

. . . Cookie Time Tuesday - - Pastel Tea Cookies . . .

I don't normally like to make a cut out cookie with royal icing but these turned out brilliantly and the icing was actually very good.  I got the recipe from a Taste Of Home Easter Cookbook that was at the grocery store checkout.  I was a bit skeptical of the recipe but they are beyond delicious!  I think the meringue powder was what the icing so nice to work with and left a beautiful "shine" on the cookie.  These would make the perfect gift for someone because you can stack them without them getting icing smeared all over everything.  I really have to say this is a keeper!  I love that you can do these for any occasion and make them festive depending on the coloring you add to the icing.

• Mix butter and sugar until fluffy

• Add egg and vanilla and combine

• Mix in the flour and salt.  Chill dough for 1 to 2 hours

I know you are probably wondering why I have posted a St. Patty's Day Project today but it's really just because I'm so behind after being under the weather.   I still wanted to share this cute idea so today instead of a Spring or Easter project you are getting a St. Patrick's Day Gift Idea.

These were my son's Teacher Gifts for St. Patty's Day but you could really do something simple like this for any time of year or any occasion.  Any teacher would love to receive a special treat like this one I'm sure.  

The jars I used were from my stash--the one with the black lid was a salsa bottle and the other held cookies at one time but it's like a Mason Jar.  I filled the jars with my Leprechaun Crunch and added a few embellishments--simple as that!

. . . Grassy Spring Wreath . . .

I seriously think there needs to be a 12 Step Program for Pinterest "Abusers"--I'd be one of the first in line because I'm totally hooked on Pinning.  So when I saw this amazing new series that several bloggers are doing called Pinspired...Rewired I knew I had to be a part of it.

There are four blogs hosting it and each month there is a new challenge based on your Pinterest Inspiration.  The host blogs are The Gunny Sack, Southern Lovely, Family Ever After and Gingersnap Crafts.  This month was all about Wreathes.  I love making wreathes so this was just the project for me.  

I have had this adorable "Grassy" Wreath by Capture The Details marked as a "must make" wreath but hadn't gotten around to it until now.  I wanted to put my own spin on it so mine is a bit brighter and maybe not as "grassy" looking as hers is but I like how mine turned out.  When I walk by it I just want to smile because of the bright springy colors!

I really don't think there has ever been a completed craft project that I have used more than these great Dollar Store Apothecary Jars.  You probably are tired of seeing them all the time but they are so versatile for each and every season.  I have made sets in graduating sizes as well as all the same size and I use them over and over again as my loyal readers know well.

   l wanted something to make these jars really stand out so when I was putting my Tshirt Wrapped Candles away after Valentine's Day I thought about other things I could use to dress up my candle and jars.  I had a lightbulb moment when I was running through the Easter section at Target and saw a package of colorful rubber bands for hair.  I have super short hair so of course I'm not going to have too many hair accessories around the house so I had to buy a few packs of them in the bright colors I wanted.  I then purchased Sweet Tart Jellybeans and was in business to add some brightness to my spring decor

I love making my son fun shirts for each holiday or event.  It's funny because he is so proud of them.  I could probably add bows and flowers and he'd still wear them with pride.  Plus, it's a bonus that with this project the kiddos can lend a helping hand.

 I also had the pleasure of making onesies for twins.  Kelly from Food, Fun and Fitness was nice enough to let her kids be models for the day.  They are absolutely adorable in their Cute Chicks Onesies.  Baby M and Baby C look like they give it their seal of approval.

. . . Cookie Time Tuesday Toffee Cashew Cookies . . .

I love Cashews!  They are my absolute favorite nut--my husband hates when he buys cans of mixed nuts and I pick every last Cashew out of the can.  I also am a huge fan of anything Toffee!  You may remember when I made Toffee Cookies that were like the Fresh Market has and those babies were Yummy!!

When I was cruising Pinterest and some Linky Parties I kept seeing this recipe pop up and had to check it out.  One look at the photo of Galley Kitchen's Toffee Cashew Cookie and I knew I would be making them ASAP for Cookie Time Tuesday.

For some reason mine really flattened out when they were baked.  This is one thing that usually is the deciding factor as to whether or not I would make a cookie again.  I really wish my Toffee Cashew Cookies would have had more "fluff" to them but they are so beyond delicious that I will make them again for sure.  

My son is extremely picky when it comes to cookies and he wanted to eat them one after another--good thing I'm a mean mom and put a stop to that pretty quick.  I guess when they have his stamp of approval then I know it's a keeper.
